“It’s just such a magic place” – Envoi Allen takes first place in the Ryanair Steeple Chase

Envoi Allen beats out favourite Shishkin for the biggest shock of the day in the Ryanair Chase.

Rachael Blackmore was ecstatic after she got her second win of the festival and finished ahead of Nico de Boinville – “He’s an incredible horse, he’s got a phenomenal engine and always hoping he could do something like that in this company some day and he showed that.

“Fair play to Henry and Davey Roach and all the team he got him there today, he was electric.”

“It’s lovely when you’re able to take back a little bit there, he jumped really well today and just a much happier horse to ride than he was the last day, so yeah it’s just phenomenal”

Owner Patricia Thompson shared her joy following her horse’s well deserved win.

“We knew if Envoi turned up, he could do it, and he did and was just Rachael fantastic.

“It’s absolutely amazing…I’m so delighted.”
