EXCLUSIVE: You’ll Never Guess What Former Premier League Defender Curtis Davies Said Ahead of Cheltenham Festival Day One!

Former Premier League and curent Cheltenham Town defender Curtis Davies was spotted along with his fellow teammates entering the event, ahead of this afternoons opening day of the Cheltenham Festival.

Speaking to Park Life Sport, Davies shared his excitement about the festival and who is planning to bank on today.

“It’s my first time, I’ve never been before so I’m excited and it’s my first festival. The boys have said it’s the best so I’m looking forward to a good day out,” he said.

After a stellar career across the English football pyramid Davies signed for League One side Cheltenham Town in the summer and has made 29 apperances across all competitions this season.

“I’m not really a punter so I normally just look for whichever horse wears number six and whoever wears that number in the race, and if not I just look for a name that I like,” he said.

Davies was spotted with many of his teammates including captain and Irishman Sean Long, fellow defender Tom Bradbury, and this seasons top goalscorer Liam Sercombe.

Cheltenham currently sit five points from safety in the relegation zone and we’re dealt another blow to their survival hopes when they suffered a damaging 2-1 defeat away at Oxford United.

Sierra Leone International Davies, and his teammates face another tough away trip to promotion pushing Barnsley, where a defeat could leave them eight points from the drop.
