Longlevens take on play-off chasing Corsham in Hellenic League Premier Division

Longlevens AFC welcome Corsham Town tonight in an important fixture in the Hellenic League Premier Division, Corsham arrive sitting in fifth place and in the play-offs, but their arrival will be the start of a new period at the club following the departure of their manager. 

Despite the off-field developments Corsham still sit firmly in the top five, with a number of teams pushing to reach the play-off places, the visitors will be hoping to cement themselves with a win tonight. 

Longlevens on the other hand will be hoping to close the gap on the teams above them, with games in hand on their opponents above, the club will be well aware that a play-off push could still be on the cards. 

The Gloucestershire side have faced a tough schedule with games being postponed all through January and a back log of fixtures, the team have been required to play multiple games a week. 

With a game tonight, Saturday and a cup final on Tuesday Longlevens manager Buster Davies shared that he may have to look to other squads when picking his team

“We’ve got an opportunity to throw in one or two lads from the Under-18s or reserves so if we have the opportunity to play them we will.

“We will have to make sure our strongest eleven is available for the cup final.”

While there are question marks around the line up you can be sure that the team will play with the passion and energy that they have shown throughout the season.  

The game will take place tonight at Saw Mills End at 7:45pm, with both teams having a lot to play for, it should turn out to be an intriguing battle.
