After losing 48-17 to Chinnor and then 52-12 to Blackneath, Cinderford looked like their season was going to be disaster until as of late with a massive 20-12 victory over Plymouth Albion.
It was very much home comforts for Cinderford in a performance that Cinderford manager Danny Pointon could describe as “exceptional”.
After two heavy defeats on the road bounced back to their best to overcome the challenge of National One high-flyers Plymouth Albion.
Plymouth Albion who was second coming into the game against Cinderford would fall to only their second defeat of the season in a tight 20-12 game.
This also means that Cinderford have climbed up the table from 10th to 8th, with the Gloucestershire based side looking to climb their way up the English National League 1 table as Albion drop to third.
Danny Pointon do nothing but “admire” the way his team played as he thought “the lads were absolutely outstanding” on Saturday.
Cinderford will be looking to keep their two key players in Tyler Jerrum and Tom Samak fit in order to keep their form as the forward and the back played a massive role in their victory over Plymouth.
With Cinderford’s point difference being -57 so far this season they will be hoping that with a turn of form they can start looking a bit more positive point wise and also with climbing up the table.
Cinderford will be looking ahead to their game against Richmond on the 3rd of November as they will be looking to beat yet another team ahead of them in the league.
