The draw for the Europa Conference League quarter finals has been confirmed as Unai Emery’s Aston Villa have been drawn against French club LOSC Lille.
The first match-up is between Belgian side Club Brugge and Greek giants PAOK, who would play in their home nation if they were to reach the final in Athens.
Fellow Greek club Olympiacos are set to face Fenerbahce in clash which will see two sets of intense fanbases clash.
1982 European Cup winners Aston Villa will face 2021 French champions Lille, a club whom former Cheltenham Town player Yuri Berchiche scored against for Paris Saint-Germain.
Which leaves Czech club Viktoria Plzen against Fiorentina of Italy.
The semi-final draw has also been confirmed, with the first semi involving the winners of Club Brugge versus PAOK against whoever is victorious between Viktoria Plzn and Fiorentina.
That means that either Aston Villa or Lille will face Olympiacos or Fenerbahce in the other side of the competition.
The Villans remain favourites for the competition, currently sitting fourth in the Premier League and in the Champions League places, and could face last year’s finalists Fiorentina in the final.
