16:15 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle
Jeff Kidder (80/1) has won the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle by a length.
The Noel Meade trained horse glided over the final few hurdles and stretched away from the field 50 metres from the line.
Joint favourite Saint Sam (9/2) came in a close second after a strong resurgence towards the end of the race.
Elham Valley (66/1), who is trained by Fergal O’Brien, came in a close third place. Houx Gris (11/2) came in at fourth place. |
Cabot Cliffs led the field for the majority of the race but fell off as the pace increased towards the final three hurdles.
Burgundy man had an early fall on the first jump after an unsettled start.
15:40 Close Brothers Mares’ Hurdle
It was an emphatic finish as Black Tears (11/1) and the favourite Concertsita (10/11) raced into a late lead, with Black tears overtaking Concertsita and edging it on the last stride.
Floressa (33/1) lead the pack from the beginning alongside Great White Shark (20/1).
Roksana (3/1) stayed on the inside in third keeping distance whilst My Sister Sarah (33/1) fell to the back alongside Whitehotchillifilli (200/1).
Two hurdles in and the pace remained as Floressa and Great White Shark stayed about four paces ahead.
Roksana fell into the midfield going up the third hurdle, however the top two remained after the jump.
Whitehotchillifilli fell far to the back whilst Roksana gained pace on Great White Shark as they made the turn towards the final three fences.
Approaching the last hurdle Roksana took the lead whilst Concersita and Black tears overtook the pack and into second and third.

It was a poor final jump from Roksana who dropped back and Concersita took the lead, however the power of Black tears showed as they made a late surge to victory.
