Captain Dylan Venn netted a first half hat-trick as the UOG Men’s first team secured the Western Tier 3A title with a game to spare after a classy 8-0 victory away in Plymouth.
The firsts have been unbeaten throughout their campaign winning eight games and drawing one, in what has a very dominant season under new manager Ivor Gumm.
Venn led by example when he opened the scoring with a lovely headed goal to put the visitors into an early lead.
Defender Ben Wheaver made it 2-0 when he scored an emphatic towering header to put his side 2-0 up inside the opening 20 minutes.

That was his first goal for Glos and it filled him with confidence, as he added his second in the second half.
Club vice captain Rory Hunt came off the bench to get himself a goal, alongside Olly Dark whose lovely finish saw him get his first goal of the season.
Macsen Rhys-Williams, got in on the action too, building on his fine form in what has been another great individual season for the Welshman.
It was a perfect afternoon for the Gloucestershire boys, who claimed silverware and now look forward to a huge clash in the Varsity against rivals University of Worcester.
The firsts have one remaining league game away to second placed Exeter 3’s but with the title all wrapped up now, they can be viewed it as preparation for their Varsity clash against University of Worcester which takes place on April 7th.
