Following 11mm of rainfall last year, the Glenfarclas Cross-Country Chase was sadly abandoned.
And what a race for the return of it this year! Keith Donoghue on Stumptown cruised over to beat Latenightpass, who ran out of energy over the last hurdle, coming short by seven lengths.
Jockey Donoghue was delighted and knew once they got over the last it was theirs to win.
“We had to do a bit of hanging in there, he didn’t jump and it was probably a bit soft for him.
“He stayed well and once we got over the last I knew he wasn’t going to be beaten.”
