There was nothing to separate Bishops Cleeve and Chesham United in the first FA Cup third-round qualifying tie between these two sides, and after Cleeve successfully held off the National League South side, they now look to come away with the win away at Chesham tomorrow night.
Both teams will be playing for a spot in the fourth-round qualifying game against National League side Yeovil Town on the 12th of October.
After a fast-paced first affair with clear-cut chances for both sides, Cleeve will be looking to delight their travelling fans and set up a historic game for their side.
Chesham United have dealt with a mixed bag of results in the notoriously difficult National League South this season with a shared record of four wins and four losses to go along with their two draws this season placing them 14th in the league.
Following the draw in the first game of this tie, Chesham dropped points at home to 17th placed Bath City in a 1-0 loss, their fourth loss at home in the league this season.
Bishops Cleeve already have a ‘cupset’ in the competition this season after their FA Cup winning tie against another National League South team Torquay United who they thumped 3-0 at home last month.
Cleeve sit 12th in the table in the Southern League Division One South and after their 5-1 ‘smash and grab’ win over Larkhall Athletic this weekend along with their recent streak of good results they look to build on their historic start to the season.
After the first, nervy affair, The Mitres will look to play spoilers once again as they try to upset the status quo and beat another side who sit leagues above them in the English football pyramid.
The game takes place Tomorrow night, 19:45pm Kick-off at The Meadow HP5 1NE.
