19-year-old Wiktor Walczak started against Combe St Nicholas in Hutton FC’s surprising 4-2 victory on Saturday. Hutton currently sit 11th in the UHL Sport Division 2 but have four games in hand on the majority of the league.
The Polish born winger reflected on his personal performance after the game.
“I thought I played quite well, playing 90 minutes is always difficult and they were a hard, physical team so they made it very hard for us.
“I managed to set up Bailey’s first goal too so that was a nice little bonus for me on a personal level to get an assist.”

Walczak assisted Bailey Bright’s first of three goals within the first five minutes of play, managing to skip past two Combe St Nicholas defenders before playing Bright through on goal and the striker finished calmly into the bottom left corner.
“It was a nice assist to be fair to myself, I skinned a couple of their players before playing a decent ball through so yeah, pretty happy.”
The forward highlighted just how important a win was for Hutton in this game.
“It was a must win for us really, we have four games in hand now and if we win all of them then we will only be four points behind second place with the same games played.

“Today showed that we have what it takes to battle it out at the top of the league, Combe are a top side and to put four past them and get a win against them just proves that we can definitely compete at the top.”
Walczak has been in fine form this season, netting three goals and setting up seven.
“It is nice to be able to get your name on the board and get involved in the goals and assists to help build up confidence and hopefully they keep coming!”
Hutton have a 100% record so far in 2025, winning the three games they have played. A 4-0 win against bottom of the league Castle Cary before travelling to Paulton Rovers Sports FC where Walczak scored in a 2-1 win.
“It is great to be undefeated so far and hopefully it is something we can continue going forward – especially with our games in hand it would be great if we could win them.
“Yeah it was good to get a goal last week, we went 1-0 down quite early on and we were away from home so it was a struggle to get back into the game but I managed to grab the equaliser before Olly scored the winner.”
