Wales’ number one ranked Table Tennis star Charlotte Carey has revealed that she is determined to qualify for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
Speaking exclusively to Park Life Sport, Carey said: “I’m really motivated to qualify for Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, as it would be my fourth Games. I’m also motivated about being able to have all my family there to watch and trying to make them proud. It gives me that added extra.”
After narrowly missing out on qualification for the Tokyo Olympics, the Halmstad BTK player will be looking to bounce back and qualify for Birmingham 2022.
Carey has been sat at the top end of the Wales Women Table Tennis rankings for the past ten years, reaching second at the age of 15 and is a six-time Welsh Table Tennis National Champion.
