The Real Whacker steals the 14:10 Brown Advisory Chase at the Cheltenham Festival

A sensational race from The Real Whacker in the second race of the Day at a soaking wet Prestbury Park saw him hang on to his lead he held from the outset in a thrilling race in soft conditions at Cheltenham.

He started the race at the front of the field, fighting off Sir Gerhard in the process, before beating Gerri Colombe in a photo finish

His smooth jumping and clinical turns led him to victory in front of a jubilant crowd.

Jockey, Sam Twiston-Davies praised his horse following the win.

“He races in a great manner, although he’s in front he’s able to get his breathers in everywhere you want and then with his jumping he’s always feeling himself.

“Fantastic race, it’s always a privilege to be asked to ride in these kind of races.

“You never know it’s done but glad it’s all over now.”
