National Basketball League: Gloucester City Kings Show Fight Despite 65-50 Defeat To Plymouth Patriots

A long journey to Plymouth ended in a disappointing 65-50 defeat for the Gloucester City Kings on Saturday. However, despite the poor result there were many positives and encouraging signs to take out of the performance.

The Kings currently sit rock bottom of the National Basketball League England Division Three after Saturday’s loss saw them lose their 11th game of the season.

Last month former Gloucester City Queens head Coach Jay Marriott confirmed he would be joining the Kings as a player/coach this season in order to give the team a higher boost in confidence as well as to bolster their options going forward.

“I will be returning, I’m going to be a player coach. I think I can help the team with my experience and steady the ship. We’ve had a rough start to the season,” said Marriott, via the Kings official Twitter page.
