Gloucester City will host Barrow again tomorrow ahead of the FA Cup 4th qualification round replay with manager Daf Williams stating “it would mean everything to us if we can get there.”
Gloucester travelled up to Barrow on Saturday where they held the National League to a 0-0 draw which has lead to the replay being played tomorrow.
City manager Daf Williams has only been in charge of the club for a year and five months but has made an impressive start with the team last season and is hoping to keep pushing the team to be the best they can.
When thinking about the club and if they get into round one Williams stated, “It would mean everything to me. I love this club, I love being the manager of this club, I love the players.”
“To get this club into the first proper round will mean everything to us. I keep saying this but I’m really proud of all the players in the dressing room and I want to continue the journey with them.” Williams added on when talking about how it would feel for him to get the team into the first round.
When asked why fans should come down to support the team Williams stated, ” I feel like we are turning a new leaf. I have been generally pleased with how we have been playing recently.”
Finishing off with, “We want to create experiences and memories for everyone involved. Regardless of what happens tomorrow we have had an excellent run in the cup and I’m happy about that.”
The first round draw will be made tonight with Gloucester City being ball 54.
The match will take place at the KMM Energy Stadium in Gloucester at 19:45 tomorrow evening.
