Gloucester Rugby sign former Leicester Tigers centre Phil Cokanasiga from The Ospreys

Gloucester Rugby have confirmed the signing of Fijian centre Paul Cokanasiga from United Rugby Championship (URC) side The Ospreys ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 24-year-old will leave South Wales after two years at the Swansea-based club after joining for the 2024-25 URC season and returns to the Gallagher PREM after spells at London Irish and Leicester Tigers who he’s represented most in his career (22 times).

The Fijian represented the Ospreys 18 times, scoring four tries and has played over 700 minutes of rugby so far this season.

Cokanasiga gives Gloucester head coach George Skivington an option for both inside and outside centre next season after a campaign riddled with injuries.

The centre comes from a family rich in rugby expertise with his brother Joe who’s represented Bath and England Rugby and cousins Rusi and Lagi Tuima.
