The University of Gloucestershire 1’s secured their league title win after a fantastic 8-0 win against the University of Plymouth today.

There were many happy faces around the changing room but manager Ivor Gumm was maybe the happiest and had nothing but praise for his players.
“The boys have done really well all season and worked hard, could not ask for anything else”
Gumm took over the team this season and it’s fair to say that he has made an impact. The team has a completely different attitude, and there was always a feeling a trophy was coming home this season.
“Didn’t expect anything else (on winning the league),
“Winners winners winners, winners win”
Gumm has had nothing but confidence in his team since the start of this season and it’s clear to see why. An unbeaten season is only one game away and what an achievement that would be.
“We’re going to win it (on varsity)
“If the players play how we know they can play we will win it big time”
Gumm’s confidence is not going anywhere when it comes to Varsity, which I’m sure today was a big factor in that, but after the season they’ve had he has all the rights.
For now, though Gloucester’s attention will divert to their game next week against University of Exeter 3’s. If they win their invincible status will be official and will be a huge accomplishment.
