Cheltenham Town have signed Timothee Dieng on loan from Gillingham until the end of the season.
Dieng made his professional debut against a PSG side glittered in stars featuring the likes of David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic but has plied his trade in the lower English professional pyramid for the last decade.
The 32-year-old who has played 346 games in the Football League will add an experienced option to manager Michael Flynn’s ranks.
The Frenchman has become the Robins’ sixth new face of the month and their fifth on a temporary basis.
Town will be the midfielder’s sixth club in the EFL after Oldham Athletic, Bradford City, Southend United, Exeter City and his parent club Gillingham.
The experienced midfielder who can also play at the heart of defence has an eye for goal having scored 39 times in the English football pyramid and he will be hoping for more of the same in his first loan spell of his career.
Cheltenham Town play their next game against Peterborough United away in the EFL Trophy Quarter Final on Wednesday at the Weston Homes Stadium.
