The University of Gloucestershire 1’s have secured their league title after an impressive 8-0 win against the University of Plymouth 1’s.
Gloucester have been outstanding all season and have one more game to complete their invincible status.

In the opening 20 minutes, UOG had gone 2-0 up thanks to headers from captain Dylan Venn and Ben Wheaver.
The game was all but done and Gloucester professionally put Plymouth to bed. Goals came from Olly Dark, Rory Hunt, Macsen Rhys-Williams, a brace from Wheaver and a hat trick for Venn.
This victory was important to Glos, with a lot of their players being in the final year of university, and is redemption for those b who experienced heartbreak last season.
This title win now means that Gloucester will look forward to a season in BUCS Men’s Western Tier 2 and will hope that they can push even higher.
The season is far from over though as Gloucester have their highly anticipated clash against Worcester University in their varsity game to end the season.
UOG do have one more away day, as they face Exeter 3’s in what would have been a huge game had Gloucester not won today, however, they will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run.
