The unique night kicked off with Taco Bell Skills Challenge which saw some of the NBA’s most talented players navigate through an obstacle course finishing with a shot from beyond the arc. Lithuanian Sabonis beat fellow European and former rookie of the year Luka Doncic on his way to winning the competition that he was the runner up for last year.

Taking place during half time of the main event the highly anticipated Slam Dunk contest saw three bright NBA prospects, Anfernee Simons, Cassius Stanley, and Obi Toppin fight it out to impress a lineup of judges, all of whom were previous winners of the contest. 21-year-old Simons became the first Trailblazer to win the contest.

Throughout the star-studded event the NBA showcased it’s support of HBCU (Historically Black College’s and Universities), offering scholarships to these schools and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities chosen by each team captain.
