Prescott Hill Climb countdown to their busiest season yet with new events yet to be announced

The countdown to the Hill Climbs’ competitive season over at Prescott is underway with 25 days left until the first event of the year.

Marking the start of their new year is the pre-season test day which will take place on Saturday 29th March.

On Saturday 1st March, they will be hosting a free-to-attend training day dedicated to scrutineering, led by Chief Scrutineer, Martin Ford, offering the chance to learn more about the role from their own.

Earlier on this year, Prescott have been releasing limited information on a few new events added to the calendar.

Over the past few years, the grass roots organisation has built up quite the base and put themselves on the map, reaching ticket sale records and doubling events across weekends in order to host the visitors from all around the nation.

In June, Prescott will host their first motorsport festival, a collaborative event organised by the Bugatti Owners Club, supported by Motorsport UK’s StreetCar initiative and run side by side with a number of hand-picked Car Clubs.

Showcasing multiple entry level disciplines that will span across a whole weekend, the hill climb trial is held by Stroud and District Motor Club as well as Sixty and Worcestershire Motor Club running an Autosolo and Wolverhampton & South Staffordshire Car Club holding a BTRDA Autotest.

Six time British Hillclimb Champion, Scott Moran, will be joining the team of experts at the Driving School set up at Prescott.

Moran, at the end of last year, broke the ‘fastest time in the darkness’ record at Rallye Prescott 2024 and has decades of experience in hill climb.

Later on in July, Prescott introduce their brand new ‘International’ event, a four-team event each representing their country, England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

The winning international team will be decided based on their cumulative times. International teams will be made up of one Racing Sports Libre, one Saloon Sports Libre, one Mod Prod and one Standard/Road going Saloon.

With a couple more events yet to be announced, 2025 is expected to be an incredible year for Prescott Hill Climb as they continue to grow their organisation and embrace the diversity within grassroots motor sports.
