Bishop’s Cleeve manager Paul Collicutt was left disappointed after some decisions didn’t fall his side’s way after they suffered defeat in Cornwall.
“We went there Saturday it was a hard game for both sides, unfortunately two decisions have cost me a game of football.”
Cleeve lost their first game of the new year as their 10 game unbeaten run came to an end.
Collicutt was pleased with his side’s first half performance on Saturday: “It was a long way to go, we’ve gone one nil up we’ve gone in at half time we’re happy with the way we’ve performed in the first half.”
After the narrow defeat on Saturday, manager Collicutt felt the players frustrations:
“All my lads are very disappointed with the outcome with the game on Saturday, I thought we should of come away with something but football has always got away with coming back and smacks you in the face.
It was hard to take but I said to the lads I can take that on the nose as long as we get a reaction next Saturday at home against Bashley.”
Cleeve host mid-table Bashley on Saturday hoping to get back to winning ways. Cleeve played Bashley back in January coming away from the game 1-0 winners.
Collicutt looks ahead to his side’s game on Saturday: “Bashley are gonna come to us in good spirits there results have certainly picked up since the unfortunate accident happened, and obviously there will be strong reasons, strong vibes because of that, they’ve shown a lot of character in recent weeks as a club and a team, so I know for a fact they will make it very difficult for us on Saturday.”
