Melbourne Renegades sign Gloucestershire’s right arm pace bowler, Benny Howell for the BBL

The news comes after Afghan, Mohammad Nabi will miss the first two opening matches due to quarantine rules.

The 32-year-old, is a middle order batsman and pace bowler for Gloucestershire CCC with an impressive 121 T20 matches to his name.  Last year he hit 64 runs off 37 balls against Australia A.

Former Australian first-class cricketer and Gloucestershire player, Michael Klinger is the Renegades Coach this year after retiring in 2019. He said, “Benny’s got a great T20 record with Gloucestershire and I got to know him well in my time over there.”

“He’s got all the tricks and is someone who can finish off an innings really well with the bat and he has a lot of variations with the ball.

Park Life Sport tried every effort to contact Howell, but we got no response.

The BBL starts this coming Thursday and you’ll be able to watch Howell and the rest of the Renegades on Saturday when they take on Perth Scorchers.
