Bangladesh complete 3-0 series whitewash over England

England lost by 16 runs in the third and final T20 against Bangladesh as the hosts completed a 3-0 clean sweep.
Bangladesh set the visitors a target of 159, which looked comfortable at 110-1 with Jos Butler and Dawid Malan at the crease.

But the pair lost their wickets in consecutive balls before the middle order struggled to 142-6, 16 runs shy of their target.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s first innings score of 152-2 was largely down to Litton Das’ 73 from 57 balls and Najmul Hossain Shanto’s 47 not out from 36.

Das was dropped by Ben Duckett earlier in the innings as it looked like England were going to be chasing an enormous score.

However, Sam Curran and Chris Jordan’s at the death bowling meant that Bangladesh scored just 27 runs in the last five overs.

But the late fightback wasn’t enough to limit the Tigers to a gettable score, and England’s white-ball side will now go back to the drawing board with no action until August.
