Kansas City Chiefs clinch playoff spot with victory over the Denver Broncos

Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is leading the charge as the Chiefs aim for a second consecutive superbowl victory.

Kansas City Chiefs went 11-1 last night as they secured a 22-16 victory over the Denver Broncos at the Arrowhead stadium.

Travis Kelce became the first TE to surpass 1,000 yards for five straight seasons, breaking his own NFL record in the process.

It was a hard fought victory for the Chiefs as they trailed 10-9 at halftime with all their points coming from Harrison Butker field goals.

It could have been a different story, however, as head coach, Andy Reid, didn’t call for a review into this catch by Tyreek Hill.

It was Mahomes to the rescue as he combined once again with Kelce for a touchdown at the end of the third quarter before a fifth field goal for Butker sealed the victory for the Chiefs.

Andy Reid will be confident his side can maintain their winning form but it won’t be a straight road to a second superbowl victory as the Pittsburgh Steelers look almost unstoppable.
