Chris Dunn-Veale has revealed that “just being part of the process has been amazing” as he hopes to be involved at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games as a volunteer.
Speaking exclusively to Park Life Sport, Dunn-Veale said: “Just being part of the process to where I’ve got now has been amazing. It was so well-ran and to get the interview in the first place was a step I never thought I’d get to.”
Dunn-Veale – who applied to become a volunteer in September – will find out whether he has been successful in January 2022 – as will 13,000 others.
“Yes, I would be over the moon to be a part of the ‘Commonwealth Collective’, but if I don’t get it, I’m still really proud of myself. I’m proud of the fact that I took this step in the first place.”
