Retired Olympian diver Sarah Barrow is in line to be the face of a new initiative scheme in the West Midlands which will look to help develop diving in the region, in the hope of attracting young people into the sport.
The former European Championship Gold winner is working with Swim England as a Diving Development Officer, with the organisation hopeful of gaining more traction in the area, with only five pools in the region currently having proper diving facilities.
The project is one of numerous that are taking place in the lead up to the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham which are set to start in July next year.
On the day in which Tom Daley has been nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year shortlist, the sport of diving certainly has a lot to look forward to over the coming months.
