Swindon Town suffered yet another loss in what is proving to be a difficult spell for the former Blackpool boss.
The Robins are currently without a win in five in SkyBet League Two and have only recorded one point in that time, drawing 1-1 against a stubborn Accrington Stanley.

Speaking after the encounter, Holloway said;
“Again, it’s the same story really, isn’t it. We haven’t taken a chance; they’ve scored and then after that I thought we looked beat to be honest.
“The lads who came on didn’t do what I wanted them to do with the motivation I would’ve expected. We’re bereft of any confidence. You could see that in the first half. The lads tried hard, we did some moves I’m talking about but they’re man-marking (Aaron) Drinan effectively and that really seemed to stifle us.”

Jordan Gibson’s second-half strike was the difference between the two sides as Swindon fall to 17th in League Two.
“Although there was lots of good play there’s no sort of wing play. There’s no real crosses – no putting a ball into the box and when we do put that ball in there’s no commitment to get forward and get on the end of things.
“That’s all it would’ve taken and if we went in front in that game, I believe we would’ve gone on to win against a side a team who’s up the top of the league so I’m bitterly disappointed. I didn’t like how it looked at the end, that oomph is gone and that can’t be right. It should always be there. They’re the ones who carry that responsibility, the ones who get to make that difference.
“I thought the subs I had would come on and do that, but it’s about getting those lads up to speed. It’s difficult to do that when you’ve been out for a while. Unfortunately, we’ve got this terrible habit of letting a goal in.”

The Wiltshire side host an unbeaten Walsall outfit at The Nigel Eady County Ground on Saturday as he looks for his side to respond positively.
“We had a chance today and we didn’t look like we believed in ourselves enough, right from the off. If you don’t believe, it won’t happen. You got to. We’ll get on with it, I’ll show them what they got wrong, try and put it right and we have another home match next week.”
