Faivoir defies the odds to win the County Handicap hurdle by a neck.
Trained by Dan Skelton, Faivoir went head-to-head with Pied Piper down the home straight, eventually edging the race on the line.
Speaking to ITV, jockey Bridget Andrews was overjoyed with the result:
“I just cannot believe it. Coming here just for a ride is a dream come true.”
“When I started out, I never thought I’d be in this position and I just, I always count myself so lucky that I’d have one festival winner. There is many jockeys that are far superior than I am and have had none. So, to get a second is a dream come true for the best team I could ever work for.”
“As a number two jockey there isn’t many big days. Look, I’m married to Harry. I’m in the family, I don’t care who wins, but sometimes it is just nice to do it for yourself.”
