Forest Green Rovers head coach David Horseman says his side “should be full of confidence” as they look to secure back-to-back wins in League Two.
Rovers have had a tough start to life in England’s fourth tier having been relegated from League One last campaign with just 27 points.
Having secured a potentially season-changing 5-0 win over league rivals Colchester United in their last outing, Horseman believes his side can take that positivity into this one.
“I do think having another home game helps. We have to create a mentality where we attack every home game – I want to start really fast because we should be full of confidence,” says Horseman.
Saturday’s match against Mansfield Town was postponed due to heavy rainfall in the Nottinghamshire area.
Despite the change to preparations, Horseman was happy to go back-to-back home games and have extra recovery over their opponents.
“Barrow have been the one that when we sat down and watched them, they were really impressive. They stick to their way and fix their problems based on their strengths.

Horseman was also complimentary of the fans last time out – a key factor in ending six straight defeats that left the club at the bottom of League Two.
“The fans really drove the boys home against Colchester. It made a big difference for the players, they really appreciated the atmosphere in that game.
“When teams come to The New Lawn, they need to feel like we’re going to go after teams. Getting the win against Colchester United should hopefully relieve that pressure.”

“To see people lose their jobs is not nice, you see people cheer when managers get sacked but we’ve still got mortgages, families, and people want to do good jobs for the football clubs.
“We moved out of the relegation zone but we want to do that from our own wins, we don’t take too much joy from other sides.”
On team selection, Horseman revealed that he would have an unchanged side at Field Mill but decisions are still to be made for Tuesday night’s fixture.
“It would’ve been exactly the same team at Mansfield that won last week. Tomorrow requires a different skill set. There may be one or two changes as a result.”
