Former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is said to be favourite to take over at Crystal Palace following the dismissal of Patrick Vieira, according to Oddschecker.
Palace chairman Steve Parish has said in a statement: “It is with enormous regret that this difficult decision has been made. Ultimately, results in recent months have placed us in a precarious league position and we felt a change is necessary to give us the best chance of retaining Premier League status.”
The Eagles currently find themselves 12th in the Premier League table but are just three points from the dreaded relegation zone, Palace are also winless in their last 12 matches.
Vieira joined Palace 18 months ago, replacing legendary manager Roy Hodgson, but after a string of bad results the Frenchman’s time at Selhurst Park is over.
