“Everyone thinks I played well because I scored so that’s just the nature of the beast”: Cheltenham Town striker George Miller reacts to his performance at MK Dons

Cheltenham Town’s number ten, George Miller scored his third goal of the season away at MK Dons last Saturday to put The Robins 2-0 up.

Even though the 26-year-old was on the score sheet, Miller seemed very unhappy with his performance.

“For the first 25 minutes we dominated and imposed our game on them and then second half we were tired and struggled with balls in behind from them all game really and that’s what undid us.

“Chuffed to get on the score sheet but I think I’d rather take a win to be honest, I’ve played better in recent weeks and not scored so it’s just football ain’t it and everyone thinks I played well because I scored so that’s just the nature of the beast.” Miller said.

Michael Flynn‘s side threw away a 2-0 lead against Scott Lindsey‘s Dons to lose 3-2 with Harry Maguire’s brother Laurence, scoring the winner in the 86th minute.

Miller has tough competition throughout the squad to secure that number nine spot, Ryan Bowman, Liam Dulson and Matty Taylor are all competing for his place.
