The winner rode alongside Thecompanysergeant going over the last but cleared the number 14 to win by over two lengths.
Further down in the places, 100/1 Mars Harper came home in fourth for Gordon Elliott.

Jockeys Reaction- Jonjo O’Neill
“He’s always had ability, his jumping has been his Achilles heel but the boys have done a magnificent job with him.
“When you’ve got such a beautiful soul as Michael and him passing away, this is just sport at the end of the day, the English and Irish lads have been under one massive cloud the last month, Michael touched so many people in 24 years anyone would have been so jealous of that in an entire lifetime and you can tell by how upsetting it is while it is a great day we are thinking of Michael and his family.
“He is not just a great rider but a really good friend to a lot of people and I actually wore his cloak flag in his race as I needed a bit of luck and I said a couple of prayers to Michael last night just for a hand and he’s really come up for him today.”
Trainers Reaction – Jagwar
“I think they’ve proved themselves, they are patient and they all seem to have the hang of it.
“He has a big frame for a horse with time you’d expect a normal improvement but he’s scoped that.”
