Cheltenham Festival: Easyland shocks two-time Grand National champion Tiger Roll to win Glenfarclas Chase

Easysland has won the 4.10 Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase, holding off two-time Grand National winner Tiger Roll in a sprint to the finish.

Ridden by French jockey Jonathan Plouganou, the 3/1 second-favourite beat the 8/11 favourite to first place, with 33/1 Out Sam finishing in third.

Speaking on Easysland, Plouganou said “Today, this horse is the best in cross country. My horse loves the jumps.”

Tiger Roll was heavy favourite, but trainer Gordon Elliott was wary of the ground heading into today’s race.
