Michael Flynn‘s side travelled to Milton Keynes in the hopes of increasing the unbeaten record to eight games in all competitions.
The Robins took a surprise two goal lead at the Stadium MK inside 13 minutes with Luke Young and George Miller getting on the score sheet.
“I thought we played well today, we just defended really poorly for the three goals and that’s frustrating, we should have won this game.” Flynn said.

Alex Gilbey scored nine minutes after Miller’s goal to keep the home side back in the game.
MK Dons equalised in the 75th minute through the substitute Ellis Harrison, six minutes after being subbed on.
Flynn demanded the media that Cheltenham should be coming home with three points.
“We should have won today and should be getting on the bus with three points, eight unbeaten and should have been looking forward to Tranmere.”
A scrappy Laurence Maguire goal four minutes from time secured the come back for Scott Lindsey‘s side which kept The Dons in the play-offs.
