A tribute has been carried out for late jockey Michael O’Sullivan at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Irishman passed away at the age of 24 after a fall during a race of Thurles racecourse on February 6.
He had major success at the festival in 2023, winning on Marine Nationale in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and Jazzy Matty in the Fred Winter on the same day.
A minutes applause was conducted early today to remember O’Sullivan, with the opening race being named the Michael O’Sullivan Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in his memory.
