Oxford United Womens centre back Jaime Gotch admitted that it “feels good” after beating Actonians 5-0 in The Adobe Womens Fa Cup.

Gotch played the full 90 minutes as the U’s progress to the second round proper. Gotch and her fellow defenders have been solid this season, only conceding 10 goals in 13 matches in all competitions.
Gotch looks to build as a team and especially on her impressive defensive displays so far: “I think we’ve got three clean sheets in our last four now,
so yeah, it’s nice to have a clean sheet in all those games as it puts us in good stead going forward for the next couple of games.”
Teammate of Gotch, Sarah King who started in the 5-0 win scored the second goal of the afternoon, King described her finish to the camera: “I received it, touched it out of my feet and striked it across the goal, so yeah, I’m happy with it.”

Gotch is ready to relish the challenge and is “confident” going into the upcoming fixtures: “Straight back into the league now, we know what we have to do, all three teams are in and around the top, we just want to go and get as many points as we can.”
