Stage Star has won the Turners Novices’ Chase for trainer Paul Nicholls, ridden by Harry Cobden.
The Owners Group’s horse led all the way and finished ahead of Notlongtillmay in second and Mighty Potter in third.
8/11 favourite Mighty Potter, for trainer Gordon Elliott, had too much work to do and never looked like winning.
Paul Nicholls told Racing TV: ”He was brilliant, he quickened all the way up the hill. Absolutely thrilled with that performance.”
