Dane Scarlett, Harvey Vale, Carney Chukwuemeka: Three of the next breakthrough English talents

England’s future appears bright following the most recent international break, with the U19s qualifying for the European Championships this summer in Slovakia, following an impressive 2-0 win against a strong Portugal side to top their group.

With this in mind, Park Life Sports is taking a look at three of the game’s star performers, who are set to light up the scene for England in the coming years.

Dane Scarlett

The goal scoring hero from the 2-0 win, Scarlett’s double ensured a great performance for The Young Lions would result in qualification.

Finishing top scorer of the Qualifying round, with six goals in only five appearances, Scarlett led the line for England over the internationals.

Scarlett has already made his senior debut for Spurs, coming off the bench twice in the Premier League already, and is a regular fixture around the squad currently.

Harvey Vale

The U19s captain for the Internationals, and another currently breaking into their club’s senior team, Vale has already featured five times in the cup competitions this season.

Mixing his appearances with England with more regular appearances for Chelsea U23s, Vale, speaking with Park Life Sports, was optimistic on his teams outlook going forwards.

“It has been a tough season in Premier League 2 but recently we have had a couple of strong performances, and we feel if we keep performing to that level, then the results will come.”

With 11 appearances for Ian Foster’s side so far, don’t be surprised to see Vale continue to climb the England Youth pyramid over the coming years.

Carney Chukwuemeka

Chukwuemeka has appeared the most for his club, Aston Villa, than any of the players on this list, with nine Premier League appearances so far for Villa this season, and has impressed massively in his breakthrough season.

The 18 year old was also a regular goalscorer for England during their U19 Euro’s Qualification efforts, with his three goal total only behind Scarlett.

Chukwuemeka was a threat throughout the match against Portugal, marshalling the midfield throughout the game, leaving Portugal unable to show their quality throughout the match, and helped lead the celebration following their qualification.

With the senior team currently aiming for success in Qatar this winter, the next generation of English talent will be watching eagerly, ahead of their inevitable integration in the years to come.
