It was a busy weekend of fixtures in Cheltenham League’s as divisions 1-4 all went ahead.
However, just two division one fixtures were played, with Bishop’s Cleeve downing Cheltenham Civil Service by four goals to two.
The hosts dominated, having 24 attempts in all and more possession to keep their title hopes alive, last week Steve Cleal’s side also came through their County Cup semi-final tie versus Holmer Green in their other bid to win a trophy.
Civil Service made the better start and missed a penalty only ten minutes in when Costerton shot off target, before Greenwood was denied by a stunning save from Cleeve goalkeeper Trigg.
Barnes would punish those missed chances later on when he won the ball of an opposing defender to go one-on-one and calmly slot home.
A quickfire Reid double put the hosts in control, and although Civil Service responded through Williams and Moore, Reid got his hat-trick late on to secure the points.
