Following a period of severe and persistent rain in Gloucestershire, concerns over the weekend of events over at Prescott Hill Climb were under threat of cancellation but fortunately the sky cleared up just in time for the plans to go ahead.
On the Saturday the grassroots motorsport hill climb hosted their Vintage Sports-car Club for their annual Long Course meeting, with track action from 8:30am onwards.
Following on, Prescott pulled off another successful annual Car Club day on the Sunday, featuring over 60 Porsches and other specifically selected car clubs and cars. The event is provided as a great chance for drivers to push their machinery and gather with car enthusiasts alike.
Well known amongst the motorsport community and visited by plenty of different groups and championships with events catered to altering categories, the Car Club day saw a busy paddock.
The selected number of participants had the chance to partake in for four non-timed runs up this renowned Hill Climb during the event.
The track accommodated to the queue of participants as the flow of cars travelled through the busy paddock to the entrance of the track with around 80 cars raring to perform and enjoy their cars on the Hill.
📲 At @PrescottHClimb vintage today. A super interesting event with a wide array of historic cars. It’s always good to see them running instead of being stuck in a garage! pic.twitter.com/WlYbxU3WdW

A couple travelled from Essex to the Gloucestershire countryside for their first time to be here with their Porsche club and take on the hill in their machinery. The couple have been apart of the club for two years and chose to spend their weekends at meetings alike.
“It felt very good up the hill, I thoroughly enjoyed it, its always good to get the old girl out and she had a good run” said Warrick from Essex.
The couple said they are more than likely to return to Prescott in the future.
“The first run was fairly steady as it is our first time here, but the second run will definitely be more exciting.”
Offering beautiful sites throughout the woodland area, the Car Club Day was enjoyed by many and was able to run smoothly with little rainfall near the end of the day.
