Paul Tisdale: Stevenage appoint former Exeter City and Bristol Rovers boss as new manager

Former MK Dons boss Paul Tisdale has been named as the new manager at League Two Stevenage, with Mel Gwinnett joining as his assistant.

Stevenage sacked Alex Revell on November 15 after a run of six league games without a win which ended with a home defeat to Mansfield Town.

The Boro currently sit 21st in League Two following some improved results after academy manager Robert O’Keefe took charge of wins against MK Dons in the FA Cup and Colchester in League Two.

Tisdale has a wealth of experience in football management, taking charge of 717 games at professional clubs which included winning two promotions with Exeter City.

The 48-year-old is set to begin his duties at the Lamex stadium from Monday, November 29 with his first game in the dugout set to be against Sutton United in the second round of the Papa John’s Trophy.
