Gloucester Rugby travel to the AJ Bell stadium to face Sale Sharks in a mid-table clash in the Gallagher Premiership this afternoon.
The Cherry and Whites are looking to complete their first league double over Sale since the 2016/17 season, as they were victorious in a narrow 33-32 victory over the Sharks at Kingsholm back in October.
Sale Sharks are winless in their last two Premiership games (D1 L1) – the only time they’ve gone three matches without a win this season was during a run between September and October 2021 in which Gloucester beat them.
With Gloucester in sixth position just one place ahead of today’s hots, head coach George Skivington has warned his team of their oppositions threat saying: “We’re very respectful of Sale. It’s a tough place to go and they are in good form. They’ve got a very big pack and a lot of skill behind that. It’s a big challenge for us but we’re very focused and we’re very clear on where we need to improve our team to keep pushing on so it’s an exciting challenge for us.”
