Marko Marosi says he’s delighted with his stellar performance in Shrewsbury Town’s 2-1 win against Port Vale on Saturday.
Former Wigan Athletic, Doncaster Rovers and Coventry City goalkeeper shared his immediate reaction to the win: “It is a really good feeling. It was a very, very, important win and a massive three points for us.
“The lads put in a big shift. It’s a big pitch here but the lads were great, some great blocks, some big headers. I had to pull off some decent saves so it was a really, really, good result in the end.”

And, talking about his saves, Marosi was understated as he said:
“I’m always happy to help the team. But they were just as good in front of me. They put their bodies on the line. But I am happy to contribute.
“I don’t have a favourite save – they were all important.”
Unreal today, @MarosiMarko 🙌

The Slovakian was also asked about Town’s up coming fixtures against Exeter and Carlisle, with his side sitting seven points above the relegation zone:
“There is always work to be done. There are always things to improve. We can always get better and we need to get better.

“But this result was massive for us and hopefully we can build on it. We just need to stay positive. Concentrate on ourselves, take things one game at a time and give it everything.
“That is what we need to do. Give it everything – every single player.”
