It’s derby weekend in PREM Rugby, which means we get treated to the iconic clash of Bath vs Gloucester on Saturday night at the Recreation Ground.

Gloucester haven’t beaten their rivals in all competitions since seven games ago in 2022. How have the PREM meetings across the last two seasons gone between the West Country rivals?

Bath 42-26 Gloucester: 23/03/2025

The most recent PREM meeting between the two sides came at the Recreation Ground in a very fiery affair between the two rivals.

Both teams secured a bonus point try before half time with only two points separating the sides due to one of Santi Carreras’ conversion attempts being charged down.

The Cherry & Whites didn’t score a single point in the second half, meanwhile Bath managed to score another two tries to claim the bragging rights and go six points clear at the top of the PREM.

This defeat knocked Gloucester out of a play off spot as they dropped from third to fifth, the pointless second half meaning they only got one out of a possible two losing bonus points.

Gloucester 31-55 Bath: 12/10/2024

Eight tries from Bath meant they left Kingsholm victorious in another high scoring affair between the two rivals.

Gloucester went into half time leading by seven points after a strong first half but this was quickly turned around as six tries from Bath in the second half completely turned the game on its head with the visitors picking up a maximum of five points.

It was a great attacking display from both sides who are renowned for playing free flowing rugby.

Bath 17-10 Gloucester: 07/01/2024

A low scoring affair between the two sides led to an unwanted record for Gloucester of nine consecutive defeats as a difficult season continued for the Cherry & Whites.

The visitors led at half time but Tom de Glanville’s second half try meant secured Bath the win and moving them up to third in the table.

This game left Gloucester three months without a win as pressure on head coach George Skivington increased.

Back to the high scoring encounters as six tries from Bath secured an away derby victory.

Once again, Gloucester led at the break by 10 points but lost the advantage as Bath ran riot in the second half.

Four tries from Bath in the second half including a penalty try meant Bath secured the bonus point victory.

Ahead of this Saturday’s fixture, Bath will be looking to continue their unbeaten start and Gloucester will be looking to win their first game of the season.
