Cheltenham Town defender Tom Bradbury reflected on what was an “annoying” day for his side as they missed out on all three points against fellow playoff contenders Grimsby Town.
“I’m frustrated, we didn’t really get going. First half, we did but in the second half it felt like we couldn’t really get up the pitch and it felt like we were defending for most of it.
“It’s an annoying day, we really wanted to win the game and we knew how big of a game it was, there directly above us in the table and we have got to close that gap, the games are running out”

Harvey Rodgers equaliser in the 53rd minute showed some anger and controversy from the Cheltenham Town players on the pitch.
“It’s a definite handball. I have to be careful what I say but I think the ref had a poor game in my opinion. I think it was his first game in the EFL and I wish him well and hope he has a good career, but I think he got a few too many decisions wrong today and one of them was the goal.
“We do switch off from the throw; I think it was the midfielder that runs onto it, yes it’s a handball but we still could defend better and track our runners.”
After going into the break with a one-goal lead, the home side seemed to have failed to start the second half strongly.
“I don’t know why, it felt like we didn’t string any passes together, everything was going long. Just a bad performance in the second half.
“We obviously haven’t been beaten, so let’s not be too disheartened, but like I’ve said we have got to close the gap at some point, and we’re not doing it at the minute.”

Bradbury’s focus now turns to tomorrow night where Cheltenham Town travel to high flyers Bradford City.
“I feel frustrated and a bit sad, but it’s time to move on to Bradford”
Bradbury has been with Cheltenham for three years and joined the club when they were in League One and expresses he is “desperate” to get back into that league.
“I don’t know why I’m so sad, just so desperate to get in the playoffs, so desperate to get this club back into league one.
“I came in league one and am now in league two, so I’d love to be there again myself and rather than it slipping through our fingers I want to have a real go and a real chance at getting promoted.”
