Forest Green Rovers play host to bottom side Ebbsfleet United as they look to continue a run of eight wins in 10 games, which has seen them draw level with Barnet at the top of the National League.
With title rivals Barnet away to third place York City, a win against the Kent based side will put them in pole position as they aim for an immediate return to the Football League
The away side are seemingly in disarray having conceded seven without reply in their last two games in all competitions and have already made a managerial change having appointed Harry Watling last month.
FGR have won their last four in all competitions including their last three in the National League and the Steve Cotterill managed side know that they cannot drop points against side languishing at the depths of the division.
The hosts have the third best attack in the division, while a sturdy defence sees them have the second least conceded in the National League, foundations that will be necessary as they aim to return to the division they finished bottom of in 2023/24.
That is in complete contrast to the Fleet who have the third worst attack in the league, as well as conceding 31 goals the worst in the divison.
They also sit seven points adrift of safety, and a leaky defence will leave them vulnerable to the numerous threats that Rovers possess.
Christian Doidge who has netted seven in 13 games this season and midfield general Charlie McCann who has popped up with a further five himself, while Kyle McAllister currently has the most assists in the division with six.
Steve Cotterill will be aware that there can be no need for complacency in such a topsy turvy division, but a win, and certain dropped points in the match between first and third will leave them in good stead as the league begins to take shape.
