Gloucester Rugby are looking for trophy glory as the Cherry and Whites prepare for Premiership Rugby Cup semi final action against defending champions Exeter Chiefs

Gloucester Rugby are in the hunt for their first trophy since the European Challenge Cup win in the 2014/15 season and have the chance to reach a final if they defeat current holders Exeter Chiefs on home soil.

The Cherry and Whites currently have a 100% record in this campaign, winning five out of five matches finishing top of Pool A. The Chiefs finished top of Pool C winning four and losing one.

The other semi final is between Ealing Trailfinders who are also unbeaten, finishing top of Pool D and Leicester Tigers, who topped Pool B.

George Skivington’s side were defeated at this point of the tournament in 2022 by the folded Worcester Warriors and will be looking to make corrections to make the final this time around.

Skivington has made changes to the side that defeated Sale Sharks 32-22 last time out. Santiago Carreras, Chris Harris, Charlie Atkinson, Stephen Varney, Albert Tuisue and Matias Alemanno are all out of the match day squad due to competition rules and are being replaced by Lloyd Evans, Max Llewellyn, George Barton, Arthur Clark, Charlie Chapman and Cam Jordan.

Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter will be looking to retain the trophy on Saturday and has made seven changes from the 40-22 defeat away at Saracens. Ollie Woodburn, Arthur Relton, Stu Townsend, Alec Hepburn, Jack Yeander, Marcus Street and Dafydd Jenkins all come out of the squad.

Kick off is at 3.05pm on Saturday 17th February, at Kingsholm Stadium and can be watched on TNT Sports.
