The Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which was due to take place in Baku on June 7, has been postponed.
This takes the total number of races to be called off before the start of the 2020 World Championship season to eight.
The street race joined the F1 calendar in 2016, and race organisers said they would work closely with F1 “with a view to announcing a new race date later in 2020”.
The F1 season will now begin at the latest point in the year it’s ever started, with the Canadian Grand Prix being the first race on the schedule, due to take place on June 14.
There are doubts over the Montreal race though, after Canada became the first country to pull out of this summer’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.
