The Jamaican international played over 200 matches in non-league for Dulwich Hamlet before joining Forest Green.
He featured over 40 times for Rovers, helping them through the National League play-offs to reach the football league for the first time in their history.
He was then bought by Barnsley for a reported of £500,000 after a successful season for the Green, where he spent two years before moving to Brentford.
Over the past four years Pinnock has been regarded as a solid Premier League defender, but since the appointment of Keith Andrews as Brentford manager, he has been out of favour.
Making only three Premier League appearances this season for the Bees, Crystal Palace saw an opportunity to bolster their back line.
The transfer comes after the Eagles lost Marc Guehi to Manchester City for £20 million with add-ons.
We can confirm that Marc Guéhi has joined Manchester City on a permanent transfer.
