Favourite Energumene won the Queen Mother Champion Chase for the second year in succession.
Jockey J Paul Townend has got his third win of the Cheltenham Festival with a commanding final few furlongs.
Captain Guinness was the closest competitor to the winner but didn’t stand a chance as Energumen sailed over the line.
Finishing in third was Greaneteen ridden by Harry Cobden who pushed the front runners right till the end.
After the race Townend said, “You don’t win championship races like that normally.
“He was able to take it all in from the last. He’s a pleasure to ride and to work with.”
